Murphy & Capewell Construction are a newly established family owned and operated business that commenced trading in January 2022. We are based in Southwest Queensland in the rural country town of Charleville.

Murphy & Capewell consists of two individual families who are in fact related. Nik and Shaun are first cousins and despite their difference in personalities, complement each other perfectly. It’s no secret that Shaun is well known for his ability to talk therefore communication is one of the biggest strengths he brings to the business. Shaun’s gift of the gab and charismatic nature enables him to build a repour with people. Nik on the other hand is quite introverted, which allows him the space to be creative. Nik has a flare for being able to bring a client’s esthetic vision to life. Nik takes great pride in attention to detail from commencement to the final stages of a project.

The main driving factor for the four of us wanting to start up our own business was that we wanted to adapt a work life balance that gave us the flexibility to be present in our children’s lives. We also wanted to create a workplace culture that embodied a community. In a community there is diverse range of individuals with different backgrounds and opinions however they are all working towards shared values and goals.
